Christof Koch
PhD, 1982, University of Tübingen
Our laboratory is part of a many-tangled web. Firstly, our laboratory is part of both the Division of Biology and the Division of Engineering and Applied Science.
Most of us belong the Computation and Neural Systems Program at Caltech. We are also part of the Sloan Center for Theoretical Neuroscience and of the NSF funded Engineering Research Center (ERC) for Neuromorphic Systems Engineering.
Our research is supported by generous grants from many institutional sources, to whom we are very grateful. A full list of our sponsors is given here.
Christof Koch is the author of a biophysics textbook, Biophysics of Computation:Information Processing in Single Neurons, published by OUP in 1999. The completely revised second edition of the handbook Methods In Neuronal Modelling, edited by I. Segev and C. Koch, was published in summer 1998 by MIT Press.
