Description
There are two biology stockrooms that serve the Division and campus. One is located in 181 Alles and the other in 127 Beckman Behavioral Biology (BBB). Although both stockrooms carry some duplicate items, the Alles stockroom has more general biology products while the BBB stockroom has more behavioral biology related products. The stockrooms carry over 3,000 miscellaneous items (i.e. disposable lab items, photographic materials and some stationery items) and over 800 chemicals including enzymes. A catalog of all stockroom items can be found on the Bio Stockroom Server accessed through FileMaker Pro Remote, Server ID number 131.215.34.1.

The stockrooms are the Division’s central receiving and information point for all items purchased in biology. Pat Perrone and Tony Do are the stockroom personnel in the Alles stockroom and Jose Gonzalez is the person for the BBB stockroom. In the buildings that do not have stockrooms contact Manny DeLa Torre for the Braun Building and Beckman Institute and Andreas Feuerabendt for the Broad Center.

Procedure for Facility Use

To use the stockrooms:
Checkout items on computers located at the front of the stockrooms. Departments outside of biology must have a valid PTA to make purchases. The stockrooms do not accept cash or personal charges.

RATES
Charged for goods purchased + 6 3/4% markup + 8 ¼% sales tax.
