Graduate Options

Graduate students in the Division of Biology choose one of three options(majors): biology, biochemistry and molecular biophysics, bioengineering.

Two other cross-disciplinary graduate programs with a biological component are also available at Caltech. The Division of Geology and Planetary Sciences administers a geobiology option, and the Division of Engineering and Applied Science oversees graduate study in computation and neural systems.

Caltech also offers MD/PhD progrmas in cooperation with the University of Southern California and UCLA.
